Abstract: We invited teenagers to write miniature memoirs about meaningful moments in their lives. Read the 15 winning stories.
Lead Paragraph:
Last school year, we took a departure from our traditional personal narrative contest and, instead, challenged students to see if they could write a story about a meaningful life moment in just 100 words. It turns out, they absolutely could — and very, very well. So this school year, we decided to issue that same challenge again.
